Noor ul Haya ("we", "our", or "the App") is developed by Usman Ghias. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and protected when you use our Android application and this website.

Summary Noor ul Haya is designed with privacy first. We do not require an account, we do not sell your data, and we do not operate advertising trackers. Most data stays on your device.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on the features you enable, the App may access:

Approximate or precise location — only when you grant permission, to calculate accurate prayer times and Qibla direction. Location is processed on your device. We do not transmit your GPS coordinates to our servers.
Device sensors — compass/magnetometer data for the Qibla feature, processed locally in real time.
App preferences — city selection, calculation method, prayer alarm settings, prayer tracker marks, onboarding status, and Tasbih counts stored locally via SharedPreferences and Hive.
Notification permission — required to deliver local prayer reminders you explicitly enable.

We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment information within the App.

2. How We Use Information

Calculate daily prayer times based on your location or chosen city
Display Qibla direction using your device compass
Schedule local notifications for enabled prayer alarms
Remember your settings and spiritual tracking preferences on your device
Provide Quran, Duas, and Tasbih features offline

3. Data Storage & Security

All personal preferences and worship tracking data are stored locally on your device. The App does not sync data to a cloud backend operated by us. Uninstalling the App or clearing app data from Android Settings removes locally stored information.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses open-source libraries (Flutter, Geolocator, Adhan calculation libraries, local notifications) that operate on-device. This website may load fonts from Google Fonts; Google's privacy policy applies to that service when you visit this site.

We do not integrate third-party advertising SDKs or analytics trackers in the App at this time.

5. Children's Privacy

Noor ul Haya is suitable for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us.

6. Your Rights & Choices

Deny or revoke location permission in Android Settings
Disable notifications at any time
Switch off auto-detect location and set a manual city
Clear all App data via Settings → Apps → Noor ul Haya → Clear data
Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data

7. Permissions Used (Android)

ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION — prayer times & Qibla
POST_NOTIFICATIONS — prayer alarms
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM — reliable Adhan reminders
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — reschedule alarms after device restart
VIBRATE — optional notification vibration

8. International Users

The App is available worldwide. Because data is processed on your device, your information does not leave your phone except as described above (e.g., system-level location services).

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
